haha you're either overvaluing the prospects or undervaluing the NYR players if you think it's that far off

So Winnipeg's top prospect, who dominated in Liiga last season, for a guy who is 26, career high point totals is 49, has - career cf rel %, - ff rel %, and 102 PDO lol seems fair.

yeah but you approached this as if Zibanejad+2 1st's still would be far off

i even wrote in my description that chances are slim to none, but it's not that far off as you want it to look like. everything depends on the circumstances during the TDL if these trades are close to even consideration or not

Please tell me why Winnipeg (who has a relatively weak prospect system )would trade their top prospect for a 1-year rental they won't be able to brink back since they have to sign Laine, and Connor.

it's called win-now, and four of winnipeg's forward core members are 22 or younger so it's not like trading Vesalainen is hurting their forward core. reason why their prospect system is "weak" is cause their young players play on the roster as important players

You're more likely to get picks at the TDL then top end prospects, especially ones who would both be in their rookie seasons.

oh certainly, but people here tends to go rogue as soon as a 1st round pick is involved in TDL sells which both these NYR players are worth at least so i switched to try get prospects instead from win-now teams that are the only teams that even have a chance of thinking of trading their high end propects for players that help them now

Omg man... these trades are just... oof. Two top 3 prospects in their teams system AND PICKS for some 2nd liners neither team can afford to sign. This is not a good trade. Maybe you could start the conversation on Nashville, but idk I’d Winnipeg would even slightly want Hayes
