Description

Assuming Ericsson only waives his NTC to a contender, Nashville replaces Emelin with a similar player in Ericsson. Right before the draft, Detroit moves Nyquist to Anaheim after he (presumably) waives his NTC and Det gets a similar deal they did for Tatar but one less pick. After Zadina falls to Detroit, they work to get back into the top-10 to get the player they were initially targeting in Bouchard. I feel by going back 14 spots, Detroit sends the 1st they got from Anaheim, 36th which was an early 2nd, and Detroit's 2nd in 2019 which is assumed to be high as well, it's a fair 3-1 for pick 9. Kravstov was projected to go lower anyway, NY theoretically could have still gotten their player later. Detroit makes another deal to get pick 50 to get Addison since they don't get McIssac.

I don't think NY agrees to that. That's a big drop for them and because they already had plenty of quantity in picks, they would want to keep their quality too

You could argue that they don't make the trade with Ottawa though if they do this one.
