Wouldn't mind upgrading Boedker. What were you looking for?

I'll have to put you on hold regarding Ruuta. Just picked up Bitetto and looking at a couple things first.

What sort of things, swing on by the Chicago team. Let me know.

If I get my forward from you, I'll have the cap space and save a trade by also getting my defenseman from you, so:
2nd, [insert prospect], 5th, for Labanc and Ruuta

Prospect is anyone not on my roster/scratched and yes, that includes Juulsen, though I warn you to check his injury status. Brook might be a safer choice.

I think I would need a 1st+2nd bare minimum for LaBanc

I think I would need a 1st+2nd bare minimum for LaBanc

If he were a well rounded player I'd agree. As he is, I think a 1st and 2nd is about fair value, not bare minimum.
I'm offering a prospect (in place of a 1st) and a 2nd. If the prospect you want isn't Juulsen, Brook, or Trenin, we could make it a 1st and a prospect instead.
I assumed you would want one my top defense prospects and based it accordingly.
I would be willing to include "future considerations" as well. I'll send you the rights to one the UFA's I'm not re-signing, once the playoffs have ended. You'd be able to sign (or flip) Pacioretty or Byron.

If that's too far from what you had in mind, no worries.

It doesn't look like the value is there for me considering his salary and what flexibility I have next season. The cost to upgrade Boedker isn't proportionate to the gain either. I'm going to have to pass.

1st (2019), *3rd (2020), 3rd (2021), FC is any UFA left once I've made my choice. (I won't guarantee a specific player since I haven't made my choice yet, but I guarantee I will trade neither of them away.)
                                                *3rd (2020): Becomes 2nd (MTL-2020) if Labanc reaches 50 points during the 19/20 season.

                                                for

Labanc, Rutta, Mike Smith (50% retained)

                                                I added a condition for insurance. If he's worth more than a 1st and a 2nd, he'll prove it.
The FC and extra 3rd are an overpayment regardless from my perspective, so I added some depth in Rutta and Smith to compensate.

Perhaps surprisingly, McQuaid had a very solid February and should have an even better March/April on CBJ, who drives possession much better than NYR. With that information, is he once again an option if you go far enough down the list? Either way, McQuaid would help significantly more than Bitteto or Harpur.

I have 7D right now and I'm looking at adding a cheap depth forward to round off my roster.
I'm finding there's too much of an "overpay" expectation, so unless I can find a "fair" trade for a top 6 forward this weekend, I'm taking all of my top prospects and picks off the table and pretty much closing shop. So if I don't make a significant trade in the next 48-60 hours, you can assume I'm no longer in the market for depth players.

I have 7D right now and I'm looking at adding a cheap depth forward to round off my roster.

Here's another thing I thought of. Given Niemi's woeful season, would Pheonix Copley interest you as a backup goalie upgrade?

Like I said, not concerned with depth unless I'm satisfied by the end of the weekend. Copley's probably not a consideration anyway, if I look for a backup, I'll be looking for someone more substantial.

He's not currently top 6 so he doesn't fit my need right now and you're asking too much, so he's not worth considering for the future. No thanks.

Spezza is currently playing top 6 minutes in Dallas and would be a great middle 6 rental. let me know if you're interested!

That doesn't appear to be true and with 5 points in his last 25 games, he's nowhere near what I'm looking for.

Price on the good Reilly that plays defense and spelt the right way.

Not necessarily against moving him, but his value to me is probably higher than any return he might net.

                                                Im interested in Juulsen.
I know he is injured, very serious.
And I am not willing to spend a lot.

I would rather gamble on him recovering than trade him at less than full value. He's worth taking the risk.
