Leafs get boned here

I had considered COL adding a prospect such as Timmins to TOR. Wasn't 100% sure on the value of it though.

Nylander and Trouba are ver comparable and you have the leafs losing him and the equivalent of 2 1st round picks, and 2 3rd round picks (based on my opinion maybe its off). Not going to happen mostly because its pretty clear Trouba wants to go to UFA, I doubt many teams hold value in his one year to UFA with arbitration rights

If COL is involved in this trade, TOR/WPG would want them to contribute more. At this point, you have COL giving up 2 3rd round picks and retaining $2.5M for 1 season and getting Nylander. Very lopsided in COL's favor. The general idea and 3-way trade partners seem reasonable to me though.

I know that dumping Wilson is very desirable, but you won't be able to do it for a 2nd round pick. COL picked him up for a 4th round last year, and he really hasn't contributed much. COL may be able to move him this year, but it'll be for a very late pick or low prospect, and they may have to retain salary too.

The Wilson was just a throw away trade. I doubt he holds any value at all. To be fair I thought I had clicked on the 4th round pick (using mobile atm) must have messed up. Agreed that COL isn't giving up much. Just a bit hard to gauge fair value with both WPG and TOR against the cap. COL adds Timmins and a 1st but at the end of the day were in pre-season and Nylander doesn't have a contract. Otherwise maybe the leafs keep their first as Trouba is in his final year. COL still adds Timmins and a pick their way.

I wish people would stop with the Nylander to COL trades. He isn't worth it, and I really don't see COL giving up Timmins.
