How are these improvements in any way? Like at all? Marleau has been great, and he is chasing a cup, so will veto any trade. Horton's contract is irrelevant and we do not need to trade him thanks to LTIR. Hainsey is getting old, but how is Reinhart an improvement in any way? Also that Nylander contract....

This has to be a troll post.

Where are the improvements? Toronto gets full relief from Horton on LTIR. You just shredded the left wing depth. And you're trading a great vet for a guy that cant buy an NHL roster spot.

They have over 30 million to sign the big 3... They don't need more cap space. It all fits as long as your gm is not named Chiarelli.

Ok, let's say it's isn't a troll post. 1. Why does Florida pay out of pocket 10.6m to trade for Horton. 2. Marleau and a NMC. He stays on a contender Leaf and doesn't to get traded so folks can make a better fantasy team. What does Hainsey 3m contract have anything to do with free up needed cap space.? Leafs have plenty this year and need Hainsey to play, not to be traded for minor leaguer. 4. Signing Nylander has nothing to do with cap space. It's getting a reasonable deal done.

    Marner wants some too...

Trading away our 2 minute shift pk specialist... nope... he’s off the books next year and we need him this year.

Trading off marleau?? Is he 39 or 29 because I can’t tell. At 6.5m even if all he did was show the kids on our team what it means to train like a pro it would be worth it but not only does he do that but he throws up 27 goals. Even if none of that sets a light bulb off in your head... HE HAS A FULL NMC!!! He will play out his contract and then probably sign somewhere else to finish off the last 25 seasons of his career.

This season is the one and only time Horton will be on the books so we can pay PB’s this year so they do not roll over into next season. Next year we will have full relief on LTIR.
