Stats wise, only Cody Ceci has worse metrics and stats then Micheal Stone.... I don't think you could do that again if you tried, I don't really see the point in it, especially with CGY taking that Smith contract and then taking back a 1st rounder? Calgary almost for sure reject

Zack Smith at 2 mil? thats great value. plus a 24 y/o top 4 rhd. unless you think that Flames are going to be a bottom 10 team, that seems pretty reasonable. Flames are just upgrading both players for a 1st

Statistically speaking Ceci was worse then a replacement D last season, his value is minimal right now (See Skinner, Jeff) and for a 1st a respectable but overpaid top 6 guy and solid middle 6 guy in Curtis Lazar for a cap dump in Smith and a horrific D man in CeCi? I think you don't understand just how bad Ceci was last year

oh no, believe me, i know just how bad Ceci is, but theres still some GM's out there that see some value in a young rhd.

Young, GOOD Rhd, plus if someone wants a RHD, why would they go for Cody Ceci when Carolina have 4 RD who are just much better all round? It makes no sense, and CAR could even take Stone (Micheal) without blinking,

Flames are pegged by a lot of experts to make the playoffs and the hockey news has them losing to Winnipeg in the conference finals. Only average NHL fans think Calgary will be bad for some reason. The only derailment in their season is going to be when Smith gets hurt. Flames have great high end forwards, depth forwards, high end defenceman and defenceman depth. Flames wouldn't take back Ceci or his contract, as they have 3 young prospects coming back and Andersson is already good enough to play who is a RHD. Before you make ridiculous comments, do a little research so you can come of the high ropes.

What are you saying ? maybe learn to read before being all arrogant? its pretty clear that i think that CGY will go deep in the playoffs . i said "unless you think that flames will be a bottom 10 team" which clearly means that i think they'll be good . jesus man .

Guess so. to be fair though, Smith really did not deserve to be put on waivers
