I placed my vote in the polls on how my gut felt about this coming season, hit submit, then read your entire post with a nod. It was a hard pill to swallow with your prediction of the Jets losing in game 7 of the finals to the Lightning, but I had to go with a gut feeling.

STL winning the Presidents' trophy is a bold prediction for sure. Interesting playoff picks, i'd love to see the final go to a game 7, especially those two teams, that would be an awesome series. Overall, not bad picks. However, the one main thing i disagree with is the trade deadline. That is a lot of movement and i think fans assume UFAs will get traded too much (Examples: Ottawa/NY Islanders with Duchene/Stone and Lee/Eberle). But that's kinda early to predict IMO, so it could happen.

Now i'm gonna start thinking about my predictions. Idk what i'm gonna predict, i'm about to find out myself lol. wink

We have very different opinions on the Avalanche ... idk why i picked them below Chicago, just a bold prediction. I just have a weird feeling they're going to struggle in 2018-19.

Where's Carolina?

Anyway, I think you're saying the trade deadline will be busier than it probably will be. That's just my opinion though, we might see a lot of moves. But some of those UFAs will probably sign, and some teams will keep their UFAs for the playoffs. And yes, some of them will probably be traded. That playoff looks like a really fun playoff to watch with 8 series going to 7 games. Not saying that can't happen, but would that be a new record? It would definitely be an exciting playoff, that's for sure.
Our Atlantic division is pretty much the same, Boston and Florida being ranked in different spots is the only difference.
I agree with a lot of your picks. Actually, i put the same teams in the playoffs as you did except for one change: i had Arizona instead of Edmonton.
That would be good to see the cup return to Canada. But an all-Canadian Stanley cup final would be even more exciting.

Kucherov will probably win the Rocket if he keeps using his fake move lol

STL winning the Presidents' trophy is a bold prediction for sure. Interesting playoff picks, i'd love to see the final go to a game 7, especially those two teams, that would be an awesome series. Overall, not bad picks. However, the one main thing i disagree with is the trade deadline. That is a lot of movement and i think fans assume UFAs will get traded too much (Examples: Ottawa/NY Islanders with Duchene/Stone and Lee/Eberle). But that's kinda early to predict IMO, so it could happen.

Now i'm gonna start thinking about my predictions. Idk what i'm gonna predict, i'm about to find out myself lol. wink

I don't see Duncan Keith having much of a bounce back season. He'd probably need at least 40+ points to qualify as a bounce back season and I think CHI is doomed to finish last in the Central. Keith was -29 last season and only scored 10 PPP. He has basically no one around him besides Kane. Also, Toews, Saad, and Seabrook are all trending down. I think it's more likely he ends up w/ about 5G, 25A, and -30.
