Description

Claude Julien doesn't like Alzner. He can be traded. However, another bad contract has to go to Montreal. Dale Weise can go back the other way because he has never played better than with Montreal. In the case of Alzner, he gives defensive depth to the Flyers when they are in need. For Nikita Scherbak, he has been a point per game player in the AHL last year and he has some Russians to talk to. In the case of Nicolas Aubé Kubel, he would love to go back to Quebec.
This cap dump trade would be beneficial to both teams, as Scherbak has a chance to pan out more easily than Aubé-Kubel and Weise would love to play for Montreal once again.
