Okay here me out. Mrazek has been BAD, but McEhlinney is showing he’s solid, giving up 4 goals in 2 games and he has maybe the one in Columbus he could have done better on. But as people are quick to point out, he’s 35. Which leaves the big question. Scott Darling. Everyone knows he can be solid, everyone knows what he was in a Chicago, we all know the story of Scott Darling from Heroine and Alcohol to Hero in a playoff series, to becoming an NHL starter we know his story. He has a career in the NHL cause he can bounce back, he looked dominant in preseason. People will be quick to discard that, but the canes looked dominant in preseason and look how that’s turning out right now. Darling has to come back playing like he was before the injury. If he can do that, punch Carolina a playoff ticket because with the offence lighting it up, the blue line shutting it down and stellar goaltending? That’s the criteria for a contender if I’m not much mistaken....

No surprise from Leaf fans that McEihinney would give good goaltending. If you think Darling is NHL ready, goaltending won't be a problem for the Canes. Might be a breakthrough season for long suffering Canes fans.
