Petro is worth more than that. he is a legit #1 dman.
should also have some picks coming the other way.
I dont see STL trading him

If Pietrangelo had more term on his current cap hit, this deal would be a no-brainer for the Leafs. However, 2 years of control over Pietrangelo, who I am sure will want a pay increase from his current AAV, for a 21 year elite forward and 19 year old top prospect certainly gives food for thought. I am sure the Leafs would prefer Parayko for Nylander straight up due to Colton's age, term left on his deal, and style of play.

Not a bad trade, but the Leafs need Liljegren. Any thoughts on another prospect/ pick/ player, instead?

Picks would be nice. I'm thinking of it as 2 yrs of a no.1 dman for 8 yrs of nylander and a high-ceiling RD prospect that should be in NHL next year. I agree tho, Petro won't be traded - just a bored thought.

I've heard Dermott has played the right side before... maybe that could work and would save us from shopping for an immediate rd

That wouldn't happen. Parayko is by far the best defenseman for the Bluesd right now. you would have to offer about what Pietrangelo is in this deal.

I would like to see something else come in if we did that for Petro. I also think that we need a guy like Krug instead of Faulk to fill the other side.

Dermott isnt bad, but not what I would want. The Blues would have to get Liljegren back in my opinion. Maybe add Nolan Stevens to the deal from the Blues side?
