Well sure it could happen if you under pay everyone... including Panarin... it will not happen and we can not afford panarin. Having 36m spent on 4 players is spreading the rest of the team thin spending 39-40m will not work.

Conclusions I have come to so far mathews will make 12m plus marner will take a team friendly at 7.5-8m depending on performance nylander will be forced into a contract under 7m. Panarin will cost 9m maybe more depending on who else is offering.

Teams need to figure out quick the middle class kills you. Pay your stars and then fill out the roster with cheap players. 4 5 million dollar veterans make too much and eat up cap. Beagle Rouselle Ladd will all be buyouts just like Brouwer in Calg. If they pay Matthews 13 and Marner 9 I am cool as long as you keep your best players you are fine. We literally have an entire AHL team of cheap fill in players if you need them. Pay the star ignore the middle class salary
