Hockeytown returns

Description
Anaheim won't have room to keep all their D and looking for a change. Hopefully people think that the trade with Anaheim is fair for Anaheim since they need a Nyquist type of scorer. I'd even be willing to make the 2nd rounder to a 1st if it gets the deal done.Dallas need a goalie prospect and a young solid Defensman. Detroit will be willing to sacrifice marchenko for a "bigger" young forward with high potential who looks to be on his way out of Dallas. They can especially afford to let go of marchenko after the deals for Subban and Lindholm. Only way that happens though is if Holland finds a way to get rid of Ericsson and Howard's contracts. Crossing fingers. If he does this also opens up room in free agency. Biggest offseason of Ken Holland's career.

Signed and buried vet d-men? Good luck signing them....

Most deals seem far fetched to me and contract AAV's are mostly too low.

A classic case of trading Detroit's spare pieces for other teams' studs? The Lindholm and Subban trades seem very very unlikely

Sproul at the moment is a fringe NHL defenseman, Jurco has struggled to earn playing time, and Smith has just now began to show that he can play defense at the NHL level. Tatar and Nyquist are the only real trade centerpieces in these deals but they do not compare at all to Lindholm or Subban.

And Howard. All teams are clamouring to acquire Howard at 5m a year for 3 more years. If Ericsson, Howard and Nyqvist have so much value, why do Wings keep on trading them?
