Saad for Strome+ makes no sense for the Hawks. Saad may be struggling, but he's the better player on a more sustainable contract. The slump is seriously concerning, but a team like the Hawks doesn't sell low.

If the Hawks were to move Saad (which I doubt they would), it would be for a top 4 LHD plus a wing prospect.

Think Saad to NSH for Ekholm + a low end prospect, with a pick thrown in on the Hawks end.

you're delusional if you think saad would fetch ekholm, and expect even more on top of that.

Saad could be a good target for the Oilers, maybe this isn't the return Chicago would want but maybe if they fall back in the standings and Edmonton is competitive they could swing something later in the season.

I don't think he gets Ekholm but Saad would get more value then this.

Ekholm was an example, not a feasible trade proposal.

Branstromm++, Bean++, Hanifin, etc.

Not bad but not quite there. Not exactly sure what other piece would make this complete either.

Not sure if Edmonton would/should be taking on a 6 mil contract with their cap situation.

If EDM and CHI make a trade it'll be more like a Nurse for Saad trade with extra pieces.
