There are very few teams that can afford pay Karlsson 10 million never mind 12 million. And some of those teams just may seem too appealing to Karlsson to join. Not that teams have their rosters set, Karlsson is likely a Shark this year. Wilson went all in on that trade.

SJ could just move Burns back to Wing and Let Karlsson take top assignments on D which he's used to having .
coming in being not only # D but # RD has to be an adjustment for him .

Burns would be dominate no matter where he's at he's one of the rare players who has the hockey sense to play bot forward and defensive assignments

I'm sure Dallas will have no problem trading heiskanen within conference for a player they already refused to trade him for out of conference
