Hudon, 24, is a proven 30 point scorer and is a mid to high 2nd round prospect, Scherbak, 22, is a late 1st round or early 2nd round prospect. Suomela, 24, is a proven Liiga star but is not even a proven NHLer, he went undrafted and is at best a high 2nd round prospect. Perron, 22, is a 2014 7th rounder, at best a late 2nd round prospect, and has never played an NHL game. The Habs already have tons of good center prospects and need winger prospects like Scherbak and Hudon. Not to mention the 4th rounder. This trade makes little to no sense and is lopsided.

Well this was a surprise. I fully expected the usual Scherbak and Hudon for a first line center or top pair D. That is not because of you. I did not see who posted it when i clicked, you tend to be reasonable. But most however...anyway. You actually undersold them. The pick should be coming to the Habs and a better one too.

Perron leads our AHL team in points. Suomela has been amazing centering that line for Sorenson and Donskoi. I'm not sure the Sharks make this trade right now.

Also, doesn't the paper value of those MTL players outweigh the SJS ones? Is the pick necessary?

i guess i hold Suomela at a higher value then most .
we can swap out one of the players for Peca so you have a Center option but honestly i think with these wingers that Couture ,Pavelski ,Hertl and Goodrow could win enough faceoffs to make it worth it .

awesome , i wasnt sure how attached fans in SJS were to Suomela
i think in MTL he could be solid for Lehkonen and Armia to play with also giving up 4 young fins on Offense to help Kotkanemi reach his full potential .

That Hertl/Couture/Meier line has been money. Like I said, I'm not sure the Sharks make this trade right now. They're better than their record indicates right now. Don't you want those prospects as MTL rebuilds?

they arent Claude Julien players , they wont play here outside the 4th line role anymore then Seguin did in BOS .
it doesnt matter how talented you are if you dont hit every game he's not going to play you . (remember when Seguin was healthy scratched to play Pyatt? i mean it got them a cup sticking to Pyatt-Campbell-Thorton though so his methods are proven )

both players i selected were strategic .
Suomela fits our System under CJ and offers playmaking to our winger pairs that rotate on bottom 3 lines around our centers depending on whom that night is winning faceoffs ( Byron-Armia ,Drouin-Lehkonen and Deslauriers-Shaw )

F.Perron is a Laval Native who was a QMJHL stand out and one of the top scorer's in his time playing in the Q so he's a smart addition to Laval who might be sparked to over achieve and break into the NHL playing in the Bell Province .

if i didnt have full 100% faith these moves would work out for us in the NHL and AHL i wouldnt be willing to give up Hudon or even Scherbak for an Undrafted UFA signing player and a AHL prospect with potential
