If Mete has a great season, puts up 25+ points, and proves he can play in the top 4, then maybe Detroit would do it. But as of right now, I don't think its enough to pry Mantha out of Detroit

to big , to slow ,turns over to many pucks and never hit 50 pts to date and DET fans want to sell him for the cost of a Seguin

Mantha's one of those guys the rule changes frigged over and its not to say he's not great now but 15 years ago he would have been a top RW in the NHL .
if he was a consistent 20 goals scorer maybe i'd be interested but Byron's more Physical ,more Responsible with the puck , Faster and is better for our system .

when your 6'5 guy throws less then 100 hits a year and your 5'9 guy with 100+ a year then there is something wrong with the Effort Mantha's putting in

Big wings fan here. I would take this deal. I would rather see montreal send just a 1st rounder and take on one of our poor contracts. But still decent deal
