Quoting: Larkinisking
Montreal no longer has the pieces to entice Detroit to move Mantha to them, Not interested in your package in the least. Suzuki would need to be involved possibly Juulsen as well. For Detroit to move Mantha. Detroit and Montreal don't make good trading partners here. Montreals best pieces have just been dealt.
god no
Larkin , sure i'd pay that
but Mantha's to big and not a 50+ point producer consistently its just not in the card for the big man .
if i'm paying that much i want atleast 70% of the games he plays with a point bare minimum .
Larkin can do that and more , Mantha never will consistently put up over 50% he's just not built for todays NHL .
MTL's ''best pieces'' are in our system
getting rid of Sergachev was a Win , he was demoted by Cooper after going after a Ref immediately following his minutes were cuting a Mcdonugh was brought in .(Drouins never had an issue in MTL)
like Mcdonugh MTL will miss him because he was a solid LD we had and traded away when we needed LD but unlike Mcdonugh the Sergachev trade will be forgotten about as Drouin succeeds finally being able to just play wing the French Fanatics will champion him for years to come . (its kinda Ironic Mcdonough of all people replaced Sergachev in the top 4 who is currently pushed to third pair RD )
Subban is a 3rd/4th D on a good team , on any team including internationally Weber's the guy all the superstars look up to (direct quote from Sydney Crosby )
the fantasy league pieces are gone but we still have Fleury who like Subban is looking to over achieve based on his offensive skill and ability to carry the puck .
Fleury's a hard worker and a team guy who we turned pro instead of sending back to Junior and with 4 pts in 6 AHL games as top RD and giving MTL a great depth option.
(he's got size and power with good speed but he should stay in Laval playing top pair minutes as long as he can as there is no need to rush him . )
