hmmm...WOW GREAT QUESTION! My Knee jerk response is send him down because recently EDM has tended to rush their players too much. Let them truly develop at their own pace rather than rush Pool Party/Yak before they're ready. HOWEVER, It's more complicated than that. The London Knights already replaced Bouchard with another RHD that was drafted HIGHER than Bouchard...Adam Boqvist. So, at the VERY least they'll be splitting time and splitting "pressure packed" minutes needed for development. Those times when the games are on the line...might not always be Bouchard. Boqvist also leads PP now too. Not that Bouchard can't go back, it's just another wrinkle that should be considered. My vote would be to keep him in the NHL because I question whether the additional OHL time (Year 4) would help him more than NHL ice time...in this VERY specific case.

Normally, I would say "back to junior". But as long as Bouchards is getting regular time as Oiler keep him. Plus he already played 3 full seasons at London, can he really develop that much more in junior?

Oilers, Keep him and play him.

hasn't showed really any signs of not being about to play 10-15 minutes.
he has NHL offensive dman skills and like all young dman, he struggle with the speed, size, skill in the Dzone.
I keep him till Christmas and if things are looking great, send him to the world juniors to dominate then back to jr to finish the season.

The point is after 9 games, isn't eligible to be returned to junior. Yes he can play the WJC, but then it's the Oilers, and not the AHL either.

They can still put him in bakersfield it just costs the oilers his first year of of his elc which could potentially be a HUGE cost if the seattle expansion draft gets delayed by a year, when they could send hime to juniors save the elc year and guarantee he is protected from the expansion draft.
