I think the Leafs win but damn...

Vas > Anderson
Hedmam > Reilly
Kucherov > Marner

Leafs centers > Bolts centers.

Man.

Tough one.

I think i’d have to start factoring in contracts and term.

Toronto wins this trade.

Here is my breakdown:
- Hedman won the Norris last year, Rielly is a great defenseman, but Hedman is in that upper-echelon of defensemen with Karlsson and Doughty
- Vasilevskiy > Andersen.
- The Tampa forwards of Stamkos, Kucherov, and Point produced at a higher rate last year than Toronto's trio (1.05 overall points per game vs 0.96).

Conclusion:
Even if you decide the Toronto forwards are better, the difference between Hedman/Rielly and Vasilsevskiy/Andersen is much larger than any arguable gap between the forwards

One last thing, Matthews is not necessarily the best player in the trade, Kucherov was a first team all-star last year and both Stamkos and Tavares have been elite for the better part of a decade. Not going to argue any one player over the others, the point I'm trying to make is that you can't say any over of those four is truly better than any of the others.

Vaseilesky > Andersen
Hedman > Rielly
Point > Marner
Kucherov > Tavares
Stamkos < Matthews

So yeah, I think Toronto wins this one.

Here is my take:
Stammer and Tavares are very similar, taken 1st in consecutive drafts, flirted with ufa, stats, play etc. Call it a wash.
Matthews > point.
Hedman should not have won the norris last year, but he is better than Rielly.
Vasy > freddy
Kuch and Marner is interesting. I'll take kuch because of his record, but I think long term this ends up being even.

I say Toronto wins getting the Tampa boys. I do think Matthews has the potential to be the best player of all of them and I could see Reilly becoming a very strong cornerstone defenseman. However, where it's tilted for me is the goaltending. I'm an Andersen fan but I think Vasilevski with his skill set and current age is already a star goalie and could be one of the best of his generation. I just don't think Andersen is at that level. He's certainly good though. Also, how I would look at it is currently the Tampa players have proven they can go deep in the playoffs.
So those factors I would say Toronto wins now with players that have proven they can win and Vasilevski's career potential.

Kucherov scored 100 points last season, Hedman won Norris trophy and Vasilevskiy was contender for Vezina. Imo TOR would win this kind of trade.
