Seriously? Bruins decline and then block your calls. shakes head

Krug > Benning 2nd and we don’t want Looch at any cost.

Canes do the same as the B’s

Foeggle > Strome
Bean 2nd > Puju
Mckeown > Larkin 5th

Isles and Wings don’t like you very much either.

That's great... except you can't trade picks 5 years in advance. This isn't NHL 19. Lol

Thanks for your feedback, however there are no restrictions regarding trading away future draft picks. Reference compensation for high value offersheets. 5 first round picks (they cannot be another team's) = 5 years.

Sounds like you are very well-informed, I can't even spell hawkey. Dammit....see?

Oiler fans didn't want Looch either, didn't help us any...

You got me though, I didn't see the "block your calls" comment coming. Good one!

I have now learned that I have to continue positing my idiotic trade ideas so I can learn more witty repartee offered by all the geniuses on this site.

Thanks for schooling me, I've learning a lot! I am now a smarter and better informed hawk.....hockey fan.

I don't get it. You start by saying that you need more guys who can score, then you spend the moon on... Drew Doughty?? He's certainly not the first person that comes to mind when thinking about goal-scorers.

Doughty has averaged 12 goals and 52 points & 6 PP goals and 21 PP points over the past 3 seasons. Only one Oiler dman has had more than 10 goals in the last 4 seasons. FWIW Doughty is also +55 over the last 3 seasons and had 60 pts last year. I suspect he will help the offense just a wee bit.....

I was looking at targets and there appears to be an opportunity to add a Norris-caliber defenseman here, albeit a slim one. Besides not many teams like to trade in Conference, let alone in Division, if he is even moved Toronto is much more likely.

But what about this website screams reality? The only apparent reality here is that everyone needs to shake their head, because anyone who dares to suggest a trade for a good young player or Norris-caliber defenseman must clearly be intellectually impaired, or is it just me?

Or you could wait until summer and sign Karlsson for zero asset cost. Just sayin.

** yes, I would prefer Doughty too, but the trade cost is going to be huge and then you have the cap hit, too.

Doughty is much better defensively, and a minute-muncher so in some ways he is the equivalent of 11/2-2 players. Just seems to be an opportunity here....Karlsson doesn't want to come to Edmonton + I'd be worried about his reconstructed ankle. Saw what happened with Ryan Whitney.....

Maybe we get lucky and Bouchard becomes the 1RD we've all been waiting for!

(Don't look now, but Klefbom is a beast this year. 2nd highest minutes in the league - behind Doughty - and largely dominating even the toughest comp in the league. I think we're on to something here... )
