I'm not sure Toronto can take on that much cap next year. What if you retained half on Gards and Spurgeon so MN can make this work with their cap this year and Toronto has more flexibility next year?

I'm not a fan of trading away 2 of our top 4 defenseman in addition to Greenway, but value seems pretty close to me (maybe slightly in MN's favor).

At first glance i thought it was off as well. But....the 2 d man shore up the Leafs D. Both are high 2nd pair type. Greenway is a good prospect. The 1st is late, Gardiner is a rental, Rosen and Johansson are roster fillers.

It’s an overpayment by Leafs, sure. But they are a better team if they do it.

I think the 1st gets dropped if Minnesota sends anything back it’s 3rd or later. The salary needs to be retained on spurgeon and gardiner.

I really dislike Hyman and would like to move him for something but sure what makes sense.

Well if you just want to get rid of him, add him to the Wild trade and add. for example Marcus Foligno with a little salary retained from Wild's side
