a potential top four defense, a decent top six forward and a halfway decent aggressor for an aged goalie out of his prime and two washed up prospects that aren't that good. I don't know about that.

um. just to clarify here.
the 31 year old rash who's still, you know, second ALL time in save % is the aged goalie? 31 is now too old for goalies? okay cool.
The two washed up prospects would be the 21 year old d man that made his NHL debut this week in four consecutive games and looked really good? the other turned 22 last week? those are the guys?

yaaaa, i don't know about that.

as for the actually post, for that Lucic contract, I don't think the bruins are thrilled about that value, it is close though.

Tuuka has been replaced by Halak and he was replaced by Khoubolin last year. He is a slow starter and frankly Oilers aren't a team right now who can outscore their crappy Goaltending play.

PC laughs because even he knows Rasks contract is bad

1. ya, he's a slow starter.
2. no one has taken over from him, he started 55 games or so last season and will again this year.
3. he has 3 goals against in his last two games, I don't think he's quite dead yet.

I'd hope so when you only play 2 out of the last seven. Sounds like backup role to me.

Not saying he is washed up but most teams don't like a goalie that is a slow starter, especially where it seems is a pattern and not an off year. Not for $7M a year

oh nooooooo, he isn't great through his first 4 games of an 82 game season. the horror. the despair. how could a team ever recover from a bad start in October. Grow up. It's certainly better than Cam Talbot who just stunk all season.

As you said, this is a pattern, and despite this pattern he has the second best save % in the history of the national hockey league. I think he's okay.

Haha tell me something about Cam Talbot last season I don't know. But hey bring in someone not part of the discussion awesome face

I'm just saying for his cap hit, I'd hope to have a goalie who doesn't have a .909 sv%, starts more than 50% of my games at this point in the season. Plus this is the second year in a row.

At 31 I don't care what you used to be, what are you doing now

but like you said....it's a pattern. He started slow in 2011, he'll end up with a save percentage between .915 and .930 like always. His goals against will be somewhere between 2-2., the bruins will be in the playoffs, there will be some game where the bruins get shut out 2-0, and bruins fans will blame tuukka like the idiots they are.
