Either a 1st and a lower end prospect/player or an older top 6 maybe that needs a change of scenery or something.

For MTL I would say 1st and prospect or like a Lehkonen or someone like that.

Let it slip through the media that you are interested, wait for the frustration to build in EDM. They will call you, when they do, you have them. Offer a weak package with "immediate help" to EDM and laugh as EDM makes another desperate short sighed trade.

Then you put Pul on the top line and watch him shine!

and MTL should then say no and move on. Lehkonen has proven he is a really good young top 6 forward.
I live in Edmonton and I like Poolparty, but at this point he is vastly unproven...which isn't his fault as I blame the organization more then him.

Yeah most likely, just saying that is what they would want. Although Chiarelli has proven to make bad trades so maybe he takes less who knows.

All kidding aside, sell high on Tatar? Retain some salary, offer a 3rd rounder? Maybe an under preforming prospect, or a prospect that just cant find the line up.

Tatar has been way to good so far. No need to sell high on him right now. Clearly MTL won that trade with Vegas.

JP i think will get EDM a top prospect like Brook or Evans , Lindgren, and a conditional 3rd (becomes a 2nd if MTL makes ECF a 1st if they got to SCF with JP playing 50% games) and we'll throw in Scherbak if he clears waivers for EDM to develop in their system as a reclamation project


EDM gets quality and MTL gets insurance if they are giving up a 1st .

Edmonton managed to steal a 3rd and an ECHLer for Yakupov. Not sure that they will be able to do it again.

Yakupov played over 250 games for EDM. JP is at 103. Wait a couple seasons and then see if you can make the comparison or not.
