First trade, nah. Second one I don't hate. Love the idea of getting a 1st round pick and a prophecy for a change.
Don't hate the second two trades but there's no way a 1st goes with sprong. A second might even be too much, but I could live with it. Best case would be sprong, 3rd a 4th (we have two 4th round picks) for Jesse.

I am assuming you are an Edmonton fan, or at least not a Pens fan, because the weight, or value you've placed on Puljujärvi is quite unrealistic. If Edmonton wanted Letang, you can best be sure it would cost them either Nurse or Kefblom, Bouchard, one of their young NHL forwards like Rattie or Yamamoto and their 2019 1st round draft pick. Letang has both a decent cap hit and good term and he's a great defender. Oilers will need to pay up, plain and simple.

If Lucic ever finds a way to play at 30 like he did at 25, his production will look a lot like what Patric Hornqvist brings. You don't give up a guy to get a struggling player that might peak at the guy you traded.

Puljujarvi wins in size, age (a little more than a year younger) and draft position. Sprong wins in actual track record at the AHL and NHL levels. The difference in their actual trade value is nowhere near a 1st.

Letang is 8th in the league in points for a defenseman despite the Pens being on a 5-game skid, he's playing the 6th most minutes per game, and shot metrics say he's driving the offense. In what universe do either of those Letang trades happen?

Puljujarvi = Yakupov No one is giving you a 1st for him, much less a prospect and a 1st. I'll give you a conditional 4th for him. The condition being that he scores 10 goals. I'm thinkingthat I will still be drafting with that 4th.

Well clearly Edmonton fans are in some sort of fantasy world. Letang is a world class defender and there is absolutely the Pens wouldn't sell low on him. If Edmonton wanted him they aren't getting a deal, you are paying for an all-star and top-pairing defenseman on a decent contract with term. In no way, shape or form, should Klefbom even be remotely compared to Letang.
