Description

Obligatory tossing of 'prospects' and draft picks and to save the season, just not as bad as usual. Maatta's value here is what Toronto deal hinges on, no doubt. I personally don't think he's as bad as people make him out to be. He's a proven nhl d-man, has two cups. Add that to a really good contract (1.5 million retained).
The LA trade gets rid of hagelin, gives them cap relief to throw away their 1st round pick at the deadline (I'm sure this will happen) and they get an OK player with the potential to be a 20 goal scrorer.

That Toronto deal is a hard "no" without retention. It is a hard "no" is the retention was 50% on both Toronto players instead.

Brown is a 3rd liner. Ennis, well there is a reason he is making $650K. Hollowell is a low level prospect. You might get Sprong alone for those 3. (...and I am not a Sprong fan)

Hate to break it to you, but the Kings are already low on salary cap, according to CapFriendly they are under by just over $400,000, doing an Amadio for Hagelin would put LA over $3,000,000 under cap. Plus, I don't think LA's GM would accept that anyways but nobody knows
