Description
If the Hawks don't make moves for Panarin or Duchene, which is a fat chance at this point, they will be a top 5 draft pick and sell assets at the TDL. These are the guys to move for max effect at the TDL. Free up space for young guys on D, and prepare to sign some big names in offseason.

I think the Blackhawks would try keeping Fortin and try to trade a different prospect.

TOR doesn't want Murphy. They're too tight against the cap, but overall I would agree.

I agree with all of these, but I think the Hawks will keep Saad. He's been doing better and will be a sort-of veteran scoring presence that will bolster their depth.

I also agree that they would probably trade a defensive prospect before Fortin.

Change Murphy for Rutta and you get a 4th.

Why would TOR want Rutta over Murphy? Murphy is a much better player. I get that you need a 3rd RHD but Murphy on the 3rd line would be pretty impressive and take minutes off the top 2.

I agree that's what they will do but I don't like what I see from Fortin. He's got speed but that's it.

I think you're right but I'm not a fan of Saad. Since the first go around with the Hawks I don't like the way he plays and wish the Hawks could get a Panarin or Skinner to play with Kane.

Rutta is cheaper and a ufa next year. Would rather keep marner over Murphy... no what I mean?

Makes sense in those terms, but Murphy is one of the most underrated D guys. I think the Hawks should move Ian Mitchell before Murphy but that won't happen.
