Description
I don't really know what is fair value on contracts for a guy like Soucy but I think MIN needs to run with 8 d-men until they add some young forward depth.

So you get younger by keeping the old guys and trading a couple of 26 years olds, a prospect, and a 1st for a 26 year old and a 24 year old? Fail to see the logic.

    Good trades for Minny tho.

I think MIN needs to run with 8 d-men until they add some young forward depth.

This sentence makes zero damn sense. Why would we waste the cap having 2 D sitting in the press box every night? How does our choice in defensemen have anything to do with forward depth? The group of 6 we've been running this year has been great. The only game Prosser played was because we were short forwards and didn't have time to call someone up from Iowa. We have zero reason to carry more than 1 extra D with Iowa being just a couple hours down the road.

Also, as people pointed out in your other thread, that Stone trade is horrendous if your goal is to get younger. He's the oldest player in the trade and you're dumping our 1st round pick. Those are the last 2 things you want to do if you are trying to get younger.
