You spend all that cash in free agency but dont sign Yandle? Also, if youre going with that defense, move Klein to the top pairing and switch Skjei to the left side and Mcilrath to the right. AV doesnt like having right handers on the left and lefties on the right

Nashville won't trade anymore defenseman. And they have no need for another winger, they need a 2C.

And how do that work out, having Yandle on the team. Let him go, evaluate your team and maybe make more moves next year.

With this defense, you cant afford to let someone like Yandle go, kid. Yandle is an elite puck moving dman who produces given criminally low minutes. He is way too vital to just let walk, especially for what we traded to get him... which most people forget

Yandle produced 47 pts last season (not outrageous), and his minutes remain low because he is not a viable defensive option thus no PK time no time in close games where defense matters. Yandle is excellent yes, but the Rangers do NOT have depth in scoring and their lineup is all over the place. 6.5 million (the amount we usually see Yandle getting) can be used to sign a solid 2nd tier Defenseman AND a decent 3rd liner to complement Hayes or solidify a 4th line. Yandle is good but not worth the money, especially when you have a cap crunch.

We traded too much to get him as we did Staal, that is not a reason to waste cap space. It was a bad trade then and it will be a bad move to keep him.

How can you say it was a waste. AV misused him plain and simple. Im going to say you dont know what youre talking about cause you think it would be a bad move to keep him, thats just ridiculous. He is a game changer and was our best defenseman last year. Ill just laugh at the fact that you think hes a "waste of space" lol. Our forward depth is fine, its the defense that needs work... according to advanced stats, Yandle is the most valuable dman on NYR and in the entire league. Most definitely worth the $$$.

Really the entire league, you mean better than the 3 finalists this year ... Don't know about you but Burns, Doughtry, and especially Karlsson are better sorry to break it to you. And OEL is better, and Subban, and Ekblad, and Hedman, and and and come on man.
