giving nylander a similar contract to Pastrnak, canes with so many good dmen especially on th right side and canes in need of more firepower upfront and hymen comes comes with a cheap contract and would be missed by leafs but either brown or johnsson could fit in his place both have great pace or maybe either lievo all better are probably better shooters but hymen does a great job with JT doing all the hardwork, so many good players walked last year like bozak and jvr and got nothing for them so surely cant let jake walk for nothing also, moving on rosen to help sandin and borgman development

That's not quite enough for Pesce IMO. The value is about even, but Carolina would prefer a Hyman equal at C or RW. Also, you'll get more for Gardiner. I love the none-Nylander way to get Pesce idea, though.

hymen could play rw as he is right handed and with williams probably seeing out his last season and losing skinner a few months ago they need better forwards, and cheers

Nylander would be signed if he accepted that amount. Why would Carolina EVER do this? Do they feel like their lineup lacks a Hyman, but can spare a Pesce? That's just dumb

What is this fascination about players "walking for nothing". Good teams try to make themselves stronger for playoffs, they don't fear losing players. Contending teams actually acquire good upcoming UFAs for the playoffs.
But if having upcoming UFAs is bad for the Leafs and I suppose other teams, why does Jersey make the deal?
