Rask is slightly better than brown, not much more than a 2nd for 3rd difference and marincin and mac aren't worth anything at all.

So the trade is basically nylander for pesce and foegele. Switch foegele with Necas and then it gets interesting.

Nah. It'd be essentially Pesce+1st for Nylander, which is overpayment. Necas is the best C prospect currently in the Canes so I don't see him being moved.

Wow, you really think the Canes want to pay Nylander 7.8m? Imagine what Aho and Teravainen should get next year. Leafs have zero interest in Rask, I mean where would he play? And Mcillerney, the Leafs would just put him on waivers again.

At least that amount would bring this clusterf*ck of negotiations to an immediate end, I think.

There was no first in this trade? Foegele is not worth close to that much. You don't get a player like Nylander for a decent defenseman and a couple bottom of the roster players, Necas bring the wow that could convince Toronto. Maybe that's too hard of a pill to swallow for the Canes but it wouldn't be smart for Toronto to sell that low.

Burger Boss....sir. Noticed you have the same birthday as one my hockey heroes, Eddie Shack. Well Eddie is 61 years older.

No, I meant that Necas would be the first rounder. He was Carolina's first round pick in 2017.

Misunderstood, imo that'd be the price though

Eddie wasn't called The Entertainer for nothing. A fan favourite who bounced between the fourth and sometimes a the second line as a Leaf. Might be only player who scored 20 goals for 6 different teams. Had talent, could shoot and skate and play hard nosed. His reckless style enamoured him with fans but not necessarily his coaches
He remained, maybe even remains a cult personality in the Toronto area. A millionaire due to his hard work and self promotion. I've met him a few times. In 1963, I sent him a birthday and he said me back a autographed picture. On You Tube, there is clip where the St Louis Blues...about 6 of them tried to "kill", but Shackie escaped their grasp. We don't have great personalities in sport any more, and Eddie was one of the biggest back his playing days, and even after his playing days.

Whoa. Watching personalities like him must've been quite entertaining, both on and off the ice, I think.
