Eberle for Strome, Strome for Spooner, Spooner for a 3rd and 4th... 5 star trades.
Karlsson also has 30 other options for teams, why Edmonton with two backup goalies and a defence that hasn't been improved on?

Edmonton would badly lose all three trades you proposed, and Karlsson is virtually impossible to sign for the oil at this point.

Lol Kassian a big loss? Spooner I guess but that's more on Chiarelli than me. Sekera is a cap dump.

But then you sign Haglin for 3 years who is an older and slower version of Spooner? For 700K id just keep Spooner

Hagelin is a fast skater, while being a good defensive player and a great pker.

Spooner is fast, the oilers already have some decent PK guys. I guess Hagelin just isnt a guy i would pick, he gets some love due to winning a cup but he wasn't instrumental.
Lights and dylanstoik liked this.

Kassian is a good hockey player, he’s playing really well on the 4th line right now, which is where he’s belongs, he brings multiple elements to the game (speed, physicality, shot) which we could use even more of, so moving kassian would make very little sense, especially if the return is only a 2020 6th, which would make absolutely no sense on Edmonton’s part.

I don't see any point in breaking the bank for Karlsson. In 3 years Bouchard will be a better passer than Karlsson anyhow, maybe sooner. And that outlet pass is Karlsson's signature move.
