Is it 4 years of playing or 5 years of playing?

I am under the impression it is 4 years.

In Nylander' case it is five years after his ELC contract. So summer 2023. Some players have just four years after their ELC, but Nylander is five due to his lack of games played in the NHL after signing his NHL contract. Believe it is the "ELC slide rule".
