Description

Value for goalies is hard, so i may need to add more on the Ottawa side. Dzingel is a 20 goal scorer at a low cap hit, and you can re-sign him if you like in the summer. Balcers is a decent prospect as well.
Would be ideal for a playoff run, and a deadline deal.

Holtby still has a good bunch of years left I think, I'm not sure you can keep Samsonov around that long without playing. May as well get some value for him while the team has their window open.

I dont think Samsonov is touchable. Also prospect goalies of that caliber are extremely rare (there are 5 of those in total (Shestyorkin, Sorokin, Samsonov, Vehvilainen and Hart) and they are not really moveable pieces) and would take big package and insurance going back.

Still way too early to give up on Gus, and we have the best goalie in the NCAA likely to turn pro at the end of the season, and Hogberg who can still get back on track after this injury. The sens have their guy for the future. The problem is they need a stop gap who can actually start games so Andy doesn't fall to bits by December.

A Petr Mrazek type would be fine. Just need a guy who can play games. McKenna can't, and neither could Condon.

I think Washington needs to have Samsonov in their back pocket as much as anyone right now. Holtby is a yoyo.
