Kuzy > Matthews.

Maybe one day you can add Matthews but he’s still not their yet. And right now Nate Mac is way better than Matthews.

I’d only change Crosby over Mcdavid but I agree with everything else

Disagree about Mack and Geno, but honestly they're so close, its basically personal preference.

Bergeron on the other hand, is absolutely there. Still the best defensive forward in the game (not named Mark Stone obviously) and he's also one of the most consistent offensive producers in the game. I will say, if his injury troubles continue, we could see him fall down the standings.

Bergeron this year and last year was amazing offensively but he was a 50/60 point guy for pretty much his entire career before that. Think his Offensive numbers are skewed because of his line mates.

I'd say Bergeron ~ Matthews for the no 4 spot / Bruins fan.
McDavid is clear #1, I honestly don't think Crosby is close. I think there's more of a discussion between Crosby and Malkin than between Crosby and McD.
I think MacKinnon gets a lot of cred for one season. I think he's really good but he hasn't done this before last year. The guy saying Kuznetsov is delusional.
MacKinnon is special no doubt about it, but he also has great line mates as you mentioned for Bergeron. I know plenty of you argue Crosby and even Matthews are defensively reliable, but IMO it's not even close.
The centers with defensive ability next to Bergeron are: Koivu. We can speak about guys like Kopitar or Backlund, but the difference between a Crosby or Matthews and Bergy is still massive. Even McDavid has defensive ability, but along with the other guys it's more in terms of driving offence to the point of not having to defend. You could argue Bergeron has good linemates, but it applies to MacKinnon as well and the comparative defensive reliability isn't close.

McD > Crosby > Malkin > Bergy >= Matthews > MacKinnon IMO

The only way you can say that is by completely ignoring what he did to start this season. And considering Kuznetsov got hurt too you can't even use that against him. Come on man.

It's so hard after the first 3 there are so many good centres, I think by the end of the year no one will argue Matthews belongs there.
