You’re not getting Svechnikov and certainly not getting Keller

Realistically most teams would have to trade similar cap to the Blues to do the deal. Unlikely top end prospects or ELCs only.

Not that Boston would trade DeBrusk (he's part of the future core), I would say it would DeBrusk is about right + maybe a 1st or another high-end prospect. I mean in BOS situation if they were entertaining it, would something like DeBrusk + 1st + Backes makes sense? Boston can't take Tarasenko without shipping money out.

For Tarasenko they could. He’s one of the best goal scorers in the game and only Ovechkin has had at least 30 goals each of the last 4 seasons. Doubt he even gets traded though. The most realistic one for me is Josh Anderson plus.

I’m sure Armstrong will be tempted, but he’d be dumb if he traded Tarasenko before Pietrangelo

Agreed. I can even see Schenn moved before Tarasenko

Yeah, Schenn will be either the teams 3rd line center or 3rd best winger in about 2 years and will be worth 7 million. It makes sense to trade from a position of strength. It would suck though because he’s great and it would suck to move on so fast.

I like Schenn. Scores, sets up plays, hits, fights. He does it all. He does make lots of unfortunate mistakes and takes some bad penalties

I feel so bad for him and O’Reilly. They’ve basically carried this team the last two seasons

I think you can forget Svech and Keller. You want top prospects? Oliver Wahsltrom, Top 3 protected 1st and some other combination of prospects.

Yamamoto, Ethan Bear, Talbot, a 2nd round pick, in exchange for Tarasenko and Chad Johnson. Just a random thought

I agree. Teams dealing the all-star player never win the deal and the team acquiring the all-star will never give up their top young stars
