Hank is not going to waive to leave New York. Also don't you think Rittich deserves a little respect here for earning the number 1 goalie position?

an aging goalie for an aging goaile playing like garbage right now but has the ability to stand on his head. Lazar may benifit from another fresh start, unless everyone has givin up on him. Mcdonald has potential to become possibly a decent AHL starting tendy, and could get the nod as a third goalie. the second rounder in todays nhl is seen as the most valuable trade chip, and you can select a top 4 d or top 6 forward with that selection.

Playing like garbage right now? he has a .920 sv% and a 2.63 GGA . Are you aware thats actually good and compared to the league, hes still easily in the Top half of starters in this league based on that stat line alone.

I think you might have to do a little stat research before making those sort of claims.
Lazar is trash,
Mcdonald is in the ECHL...he is far away from what you are claiming he could be
Smith is terrible this year

The only thing you offered of value is a 2nd rounder.....A bunch of low level assets and a 2nd rounder to get a clear goalie upgrade while retaining 3.5m? Thats not even close to real value for Hank

more to the point...Hank is playing as a Top of the league starter, and you want to retain 3.5m of his salary? Actually assets would have to be used to get him, not that collection of random stuff and a 2nd round pick

Maybe, Hank waives in final year of contract. He's not going to Calgary for almost three seasons.
