Not a chance NSH does that trade, big overvalue on both players your sending them and NSH ain't got no reason to trade Ellis.

Hes on an expiring deal, could trade him later. Same with Brassard. Granlund is much younger and can be our centre. And then we get someone else. Maybe resign grant and keep grant as 4th C until we find someone better.

Ellis is on an expiring deal that will need to him to resign for around triple his current contract while dumoulin would only cost 500k more to have in this deal. And they get a good young player with lots of potential.

why do we want to be in that position in the first place. The only way Brass is trade is if the Penguins are out the hunt. If that is the case, they aren't sending him out to bring in a 35 year old on an expiring deal. That's just ignorant. They will trade him to a team in the hunt who is willing to give up a talented prospect or high pick. They don't need to trade for 35 year olds

@yinz3r

Well thanks for that reminder i guess i forgot since it doesnt have him as getting any money past this season in the long term outlook section. Its not that bad, cheaper young defenseman retained and a good young prospect and a draft pick

Zero chance Poile trades Ellis, especially for that. Pk would be gone before Ellis.
