I highly doubt Edmonton is moving their first at this point, needs to get them an elite player. Spooner just got there, they won't move him at least yet.

Perhaps I sound bias, but I think Danault is better than Spooner. If you think this trade doesn't help EDM to finish higher in the standings, then I understand holding on to the pick.

I agree on Danault being better, I just don't see Edmonton moving a guy they just acquired. The first rd pick is a hard one because they're a team that is probably not a playoff team. If chia is willing to bet his job on making the playoffs I can see them moving it, but I don't think it would be the right move.
