What do you think of Mete being sent to the minors?

Will do. I did this quickly, so I didn’t really think about the lines that much.

I think that he’s had his ups and downs this year, but he’s still been good. I don’t think they should, or need to make a decision until Juulsen is back from injury, so the Habs can assess then.

I agree. I'm confused about the move.

Not sure Habs need to add Zykov. They have enough problem playing their wingers as is and he'll just end up going on waivers again once Byron comes back. I like adding him but Habs would need to purge a winger player also. Scherbak for Zykov maybe?

As for Mete, I disagree. He's been hesitant, and Julien playing him low minutes only hurts his development. Playing in AHL as a PP QTR back with big responsibilities is essential for his development right now.

The way Mete is going right now, he's trending to be a younger version of Kris Russell...... Diminutive defensive dman....... That's not what I was hoping from the kid when I saw him play with confidence last year.

I didn’t see that he got sent down when I wrote that. But now that I think about it, it probably means that Byron will be back soon, and MTL wants to carry 7 D and 14 forwards instead of 8 D and 13 forwards. And Kulak was the only other defenseman that could be sent down without waivers, but he’s been great since MTL called him up.
