Description
According to DailyFaceoff.com, not my own opinions. Feel free to discuss in the comments.

For those who did not see my first post: these are not the best four lines, or the best three defensive pairs, or the two best goalies. The first line is the best first line, the second being the best second line, so on and so forth.

I know people will have some questions about the fourth line, considering Palat has been injured for the past few weeks. Again, it is not my opinion or decision, I was just repeating what DailyFaceoff.com had down. To be fair, the second best fourth line in the league is Carolina's, hence their being scratched.

Goalies are my own opinion, best starting goalie, and best backup goalie.

Gibson has been consistently solid for Anaheim all season, facing the 2nd most shots on goal (717 SA), and still posting a .927 SV% (52 GA). Brossoit has also been solid for Winnipeg, facing about 32 shots per game, in 6 GP, and posting a .937 SV%.

Honorable Mention: Cal Petersen has been amazing for the Kings so far, however, having only played 8 games so far, I cannot put him in there, despite having a .927 SV% on one of, if not the worst, team in the league this year.

That is where it got tricky, because techincally, with Vasilevskiy injured, Domingue is the starting goalie for the Lightning. Normally, I would make an argument for him, being a Lightning fan myself, but I figured that I should rank the goalies as of their status right now.

I know you didn’t make the list. But something of note.
Ferland plays on the 1st line of the canes. Foegele plays on the second (he’s been moved a few times but Ferland hasn’t) and DG actually plays on the fourth. When he plays. So I’m confused how they got there

Good to know, since I do not watch the Hurricanes too often. I'm not sure exactly what Tampa's lines tonight are, but tonight is Palat's first game back, and he might very well be playing fourth line minutes to ease him back in, but he is also usually on the first or second line. I think, just in general, in today's NHL most guys are moved around between lines unless they have solid chemistry (see Colorado's 1st line).

Would have thought for sure Halak would get the backup nod here.

Since the start of November, Halak has played in 8 games, Rask has played in 5 games (both played in an 8-5 L against VAN). On the season, Halak has appeared 15 times (14 GS), Rask has appeared in 11 games (10 GS). I consider Halak to be Boston's starting goalie, but in all honesty, it's more of a 1A, 1B situation I feel like. Since I consider Halak to be 1A, then he's not considered to be a backup. However, if he were to be the 1B, then I would most certainly consider him for that spot.

I get what you're saying, but ask any knowledge Bruins fan and they'll tell you Rask is the "#1" on the team.
