take out Aubé-Kubel and change the 2nd to a 3rd at best and maybe... Philly is looking to get younger not older and even still I don't think Carter has any more 60pt seasons left in him.

Problem is, if Holmgren starts running the show in the interim - you're looking at possibly going back to the old way of Flyers' thinking....trading youth for over priced, past their prime vets....

Agreed, but according to their President and CEO they are better suited to start winning now, you aardvark.

But you have to remember that Holmgren traded Carter in the first place and it wasn't because he wanted to make a hockey trade. He would never bring Carter back.

He got Voracek and Couturier for Carter. There may have been issues but he made a hockey trade.

Holmgren also trade JVR for Luke Schenn. Is that coming?

He wasn't going to just give Carter away. It was a move to remove a player ,that had issues, from the locker room. As for the JVR trade, he could very well do something stupid like that again. Holmgren is an atrocious front office guy.
