Panarin is Possible

Created by: mk458
Team: 2019-20 Tampa Bay Lightning
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 4, 2018
Published: Dec. 4, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Based on the news of an 83 million cap next year. If Tampa was to trade J.T. Miller, pay to get Callahan of the books, and give Point a 3 year bridge like they did for Kucherov, they could actually afford Panarin. Highly unlikely situation, but this team would be absolutely terrifying.

Next season would be extremely difficult to stay under the cap, but Killhorn's NTC becomes limited, and Tyler Johnson could possibly be going to his hometown to play for the Seattle expansion team that year. So its not impossible

signing Point to a bridge deal would be as dumb a move as signing Kucherov to a bridge deal was.

Interesting that so many say Marner can't be signed under 9.5m but Point can be for 5.7m. Somewhere there is a conflict. It's the 2019/20 when RFAs are to be signed there might be even more difficulties with cap.
My opinion Gourde gets traded before his NTC July 1st for cap space.

The Rangers aren't going to take on that Callahan contract. It takes up the cap space they're trying to use for Panarin. Why would they help their biggest competitor (for Panarin) have a better shot at him?

Bolts dont need more offense.. far from it .. ONE trade allows Pookt to be signed long term .. Bolts need tough experienced playoff players .. as weird as sounds just look for Kings and Blackhawks players or ex players ..
