Oilers say no for sure. A fair trade instead might be:

Talbot + Rieder for Neuvirth + Simmonds

or

Talbot for Neuvirth + Laughton + 3rd

Would you do those?

I wouldn't be opposed to either. As weird as it sounds, I think the Flyers would be more open to trading Simmonds than Laughton.

Talbot is a rental, so I'd do Talbot for retained Neuvirth, Laughton, and a fourth. Philly can get more for Simmonds than a rental and a high end bottom line winger. The value is even, but Philly will want prospects and/or picks for him.

HA! Talbot has ZERO value right now and Rieder is a 3rd liner at best! But you want Simmonds?
