And how do you think the Avs are getting the #1 pick in the draft exactly? Also, no way does Duchene come back unless it's a big overpayment like $8.5m.

Kerfoot, Compher and Zadorov will all cost you less than what you've estimated, but Rantanen will probably cost you more. He might hit over $10 million AAV.

I think Kerfoot is close to that, he will be around 55 points this season...he will get his money if he does that

I think Mikko will be good for the max 8 years contract. Otherwise it will be a 3 year bridge in the $5M range. I don't think Compher has proven so far that he deserves such a big contract. I would say 2 years at $2,5M. Kerfoot is an interesting case and I think you' not far at $4,5M. Maybe $5 or 5,25M is his max ceiling. Don't think that Avs have the slightest interest in bringing back Duchene. If they go after a Sens UFA I'm convinced that it will be Mark Stone.

OTT 2019 1st rounder is a 7th overall right now. Sens play better than expected but the pick should finish in the top 10 anyway. So with a little luck in the lottery you never know...

Isn't that lottery protected? I also doubt the Sens get the first pick given how bad the Kings, Blues, Hawks, and Knucks are playing.

It was protected last year but not this year.. and there is plenty of time yet for the sens to implode, and the other teams to pick it up.. also the Sens will have to get rid of duchene and stone by the end of the year or lose them for nothing is FA.. which should lead to more losses

Yeah, but i think they are going to re-sign Duchene and or Stone. Hard to see both of them leaving plus Dzingel, but if they come out and say we are rebuilding then it's a whole new world.

Speaking of Duchene though, he may be out long-term. He and Ryan both got injured in last night's game. So, like @JeffW said, plenty of time to implode (even if they don't trade Duchene and/or Stone, which I think they'll do for at least 1).

Even if it was 2nd overall it would then likely be Kakko so you could then move Dutchy back to centre. I like it.
