Description

Signing Matthews and Marner to cheap one year deals while adding a no 1 rhd is worth it if it means winning a cup in 2020. Start of 2020: Matthews signs for 13 mill, Marner 10 mill, Kapanen 4 mill, Johnsson 2.5 mill, Dermott 3 mill with a little bit of wiggle room in the cap.

I know this is probably in jest, but in case it isn't, there are a few problems. I think the one year discount for Matthews is probably 9, for Marner probably 7.5. After that, they can just go to arbitration and make a boat load before hitting UFA.

Also, c'mon, think Karlsson is going to sign for 6 years at 9 per? it starts at 11. He can go to a tax free state and get 10-11 in an instant.

So you really want Matthews, Marner and others to go seeking offer sheets? Is this latest version of Karlsson ....it's been going for a year that good now?
