That Jets trade is just awful for the Hawks. Beaudin alone is worth their 1st and I still wouldn't do it. Anisimov is worth a 3rd maybe 2nd at the TDL. Edjsell is worth a 4th. So basically you are giving up a 1st, 2nd and 4th for a 1st....crazy idea.

Carolina trade I'm not crazy about. Saad is solid in the last 20 games. Why trade him for anything short of a 1st round pick? Hawks need a 2 way player like Saad and need a solid winger, we have plenty of defensive propsects. Darling is a huge cap dump, no way do we take that on versus Manning who has 1.5 years left at 1/2 the price.

TBL and CBJ trades are interesting though.

Bob has worse stats than crow this season and crow has another 2 years on a 6 mil contract which is very affordable. Lets also not forget that crow has has 2 rings

The WPG is a cap dump on Anisimov. Very similar to the premise behind the Bickell trade a few years ago. I have been watching Beaudin play in the juniors and he is nothing special. He also was projected as a second-round pick but the Hawks took him early because they didn't have any second round picks. All Anisimov is doing is taking a roster spot away from a younger player who needs development (perfect timing considering hawks are out of the playoffs and don't risk losing anything) and Edjsell hasn't even proven himself as a minors player yet. If you don't want to trade Edjsell throw in Kahun instead. As for saad, he's been a huge disappointment. Hawks traded a franchise winger for a second line winger and a minors goalie. Hawks most defintly do not need another 2 way player as Toews and almost all of the third and fourth line players are 2-way players. Saad (again) is simply taking up a roster spot that Dylan Sikura would defintly benifit from having. Bean is a solid offensive dman and almost all the hawks prospect dmen are defensive dmen (Dahlstrom, Tuulola, Hillman, Gilbert, etc.) Darling has proven himself as a solid backup for the Hawks and I think that his play is defintly more environment based then skilled based. When he was sent down, he absolutely destroyed AHL teams posting amazing numbers.

Anisimov is not similar to the Bickell cap dump at all. Anisimov can at least play, 20+ goals the past 3 season. Bickell literally could not play because of his Vertigo. Beaudin is on the preliminary roster for Canada’s WJC team so yeah, nothing special. Saad has been a disappointment but doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve a roster spot, just doesn’t deserve his contract. There is no telling if Sikura can just fill in for Saad, he has played a total of maybe 5 NHL games. So what if Darling does good in the AHL, if that game doesn’t transfer to the NHL it doesn’t matter. He has not played good past couple years in the NHL.Yeah he was a good backup in the past but that’s no reason to bring him back, especially at that cap hit and his recent play.

I say no to the jets and canes trade from the hawks side. And Tampa says no.
