It’s probably close to a fair deal but I’d prefer to keep AA over Matta

Maatta is a perfectly good top 4. They have plenty of young forwards, young D is lacking. Exactly 1 dman under 28

They wouldn't take Cole(who is a better D man) and a pick, and you think they will take Maatta 1 for 1. Are you high?

I liked Cole, but the only reason any of the 31 GMs would take Cole over Maatta would be for ... nope, no reasons come to mind.

Detroit doesn't need "a top 4" they have plenty of those in Grand Rapids just waiting retirements and contract expirations. A top 2; then call.
