What exactly is the incentive here other than a little bit of cap saving? Both those players aren't even playing for the Habs right now.....

I struggle to see where the Wild walk away from this deal happy. Coyle is a good second line producer for a little more than $3M, which is going to cost a pretty penny to get him out of Minny.

"good second line producer" - I wouldn't go that far. He's put up 2nd line numbers only once really. Nonetheless I agree they're not going to let him go for whats shown above.

I agree. I like Coyle, but he is more of a 3rd line player based on his numbers. If he is coming to MTL, I hope they aren't giving a ton as he really isn't a drastic improvement on any center in the line up right now.
I would be fine giving up any combo of Byron, Armina, Hudon, any picks(other then the 1st) for him.

I think a fair deal is Armina, Hudon, and a 2nd for him. Not sure if Minny like it, but MTL can't afford to over play for players who are basically the same as what they already have.

He definitively has potential but truthfully he isn't a big enough upgrade over some of the guys he'd replace to warrant spending what I assume Minny will want for him. You're offer is the farthest i'd go also. Armia, Hudon and a 2nd. As for him as a center, I'm not convinced. Who would he replace? Domi? Danault? Kotkaniemi? Not sure he's good enough at center to move any one of those guys to the wing. If anything he'd be a RW for us.

Yea that's also the issue. I would like him to be with Kotkaniemi if anything, alittle bit of shelter when needed. but other then that, he isn't a massive upgrade on Domi or Danault. If you can get him for what I offered, you pull the trigger, but I dont think Minny vans would agree to that.
