Tampa Bay 2019

Created by: loganreid
Team: 2019-20 Tampa Bay Lightning
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 12, 2018
Published: Dec. 12, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Tampa has to pray some teams are willing to accept Killorn / Callahan cap dumps is the ultimate reality. Then hope the cap raises again the year after to resign Vasilevskiy, Cirelli, and Joseph since there'd still be another season before the expansion draft where it's likely to see Tyler Johnson taken.

Even with a better year this year Pecs isn't good enough to crack Tampa's. Leaving Tampa was the best thing he could've done for his career.

Idea is there though.

For next year he could be one of their only options unless they want to play a bunch of rookies which they already could be, my idea is to bring him back and pair him with a few people he had success with in Syracuse. Maybe some chemistry could help them at least be a successful 4th energy line.

It is a fair attempt except Killorn has a no trade contract next year, then it becomes modified. It's going to be difficult. No wonder SY left town!!

He has to submit a team of 16 teams he'd accept a trade to I believe. Montreal is technically the closest thing he has to a hometown team since there's none in the true Atlantic part of Canada, it just helps they have lots of cap room and no big names to sign for a few years outside of Max Domi. It makes sense for them to add more depth with a history of scoring.

I expect Point to sign for like 6.75-7.25M AAV, 7-8 years.

Also that Rangers deal isn't that advantageous for them. With those picks we would need to add some prospect imo.

If Brisebois is really really good at going around the cap maybe but I have to think it'll be 7M+ since he's definitely worth more than Nylander's 6.9M and he's not getting Toronto endorsement money.

If Tampa has to throw in a prospect, look for Mitchell Stephens or Boris Katchouk to be added to the deal. That isn't an issue for their prospect depth although definitely wouldn't be Foote or Raddysh added.

I mean Point is a nice and humble guy. I wouldn't be surprised if he signs for less than 7M. Look at Barkov, Pastrnak,...

Yea, prospects like Dennis Yan/Dominik Masin/maybe even Katchouk.
