They wont get anything even close to Halls value for Larsson even if the other GM is stupid which Dubas is not. If Brown (middle-6 winger) can prove he can be again great on McDavids wing (they played together for 2 seasons) it would be a better deal.

I know people dont like looking into the past, but Brown is already a 20 goal scorer with 3/4th line minutes and little to no PP time. He also had MORE POINTS than McDavid when they played together in junior (yes only one season). These things do matter. Plus, Brown arguably could keep up with McDavids speed better than most on that team.

A rare win/win proposal. It would be wise to get something for Brown while they still can.

They played 2 seasons together and both times he was better scorer. Brown and McDavid have long lasting chemistry and they should be great together.

Connor Brown is on the fourth line. While he may do well with McDavid, that doesn't mean him + a bad contract is worth Larsson.

Currently on 1st line if you want to be exactly correct but I get what you are saying but Brown was 20 goal scorer (in his rookie year) and played with McDavid in juniors as linemate for 2 seasons. He has all the tools to be with McDavid. You wont get bonified top line forward for Larsson... and Zaitsev is not a bad contract, he needs to be not on Gardiners right side and he would be very suprisingly good.

Yes, Brown got 20 goals. We all remember that. And I know that nobody is giving up a top forward for Larsson. The Oilers have no need to make a deal like this. In fact, with the injury to Klefbom, it would make even less sense to downgrade on a defenseman like that.
